New Earth Science Classes

I'm so excited to be offering another session of classes this fall for our local homeschool community through Explore Wildwood, in a wonderful outdoor environment! This fall we're learning all about sea turtles in a highly hands-on set of classes with lots of simulated scenarios and mock rescues. In addition to the session, I also have an "all ages" workshop on an Intro. to Turtles, Terrapins, & Tortoises. Full details and registration can be found here- http://www.explorewildwood.com/p/art-classes.html

NEW in 2021: Science class topics for small private classes and large group visits! Choose from: Animal Bones, Teeth, & Shells; Turtles & Tortoises; Sea Turtle Science and Conservation; Animal Conservation vs. Rehabilitation; Exploring in Nature (educational guided hike with local flora & fauna + safety tips).

Indie Arts Alliance Railside Gallery

Now on display behind the Smyrna History Museum, in the Indie Arts Alliance Railside Gallery in Smyrna, GA! Thankful to be a part of another great public art exhibition. This show is small but mighty, and it may be one of my favorite reveals of one of my images on a panel yet- I absolutely love how this photo translated to the medium! If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and check out both sides of the rail behind the museum for some great local art.

From Art to Conservation

It's World Oceans Day, and I'm currently in quarantine preparing for my upcoming trip to help with sea turtle research and conservation off the GA coast. So... I'll be taking a little break from art stuff during the height of nesting season here to share more about this other passion of mine! If you'd like to follow along with my adventures, learn something new, and see lots of behind-the-scenes of what it takes to help these endangered species, come follow me over on Instagram (I will not be blogging here). I'll be sharing stuff in my daily stories like what I need to do in the weeks before departure, how much of my bag is taken up by insect repellents, our daily routines on the island, what we eat out there and how we shower, working with loggerheads, protecting nests, my "uniform", and lots more!

M2R Fence Gallery 2021

The 2021 M2R Trailfest is up! This public art exhibition is traveling again this year, starting in downtown Marietta on the fence along the Mountain to River Trail at the back of the square along the railroad tracks. It's a mile-long outdoor exhibit, including both an adult gallery and student gallery, with art from multiple disciplines. I'm excited to have my photography work (4 pieces) included for the third year in a row! It's such a fun and accessible exhibit that offers lots to look at while getting fresh air and a nice walk in. Be sure to check it out at its current location through July 9th. Other travel dates through Cobb County include Acworth 7/17-8/14, Austell 8/21-9/25, and Powder Springs 10/2-11/6 in 2021. NEW Limited Edition Miniatures!

It's launch and release day and I'm dropping my first ever set of miniatures! The series includes 4 sets of framed images from the photography series Microcosm Compositions. Each frame is about 2"-3" with an archival print backed in black velvet, and with a black satin ribbon for hanging. Each set comes with two selected images, or you can get the entire series (8 images) altogether. These are handmade in a limited edition run of only 3 each!

These are super cute to display within a gallery or salon wall, which is a collection of items, framed artwork, photographs, and/or personal treasures hung in a grouping. You can also put one on a miniature easel on a dresser, curio shelf, bookcase, or display case. Another alternative is to hang them in a dollhouse (see bottom of post).

Ready to grab a set? --> Get your miniatures HERE!

NEWS: Website Sale, Mock-ups, and More!

I'm excited to announce that I'll be returning again this year to aid in the research and conservation efforts of loggerhead sea turtles off the coast of Georgia! This means all sales this month go directly to associated costs with my upcoming volunteer trip. If you've been eyeing a specific piece, now is the time to go ahead and get it, and support a great cause in the process!

So, lets start this list of announcements off with a big SALE!!

Site-wide SALE: February only, get 20% OFF everything on the site! Use code: LOVE2021. Choose a fine art print, clearance or limited edition item, or an art kit. ALL items on the website are 20% off this month. Sale ends February 28th. It's the perfect time to purchase something for a loved one for Valentine's Day, another special occasion, or a treat for yourself.

+ Art kits are being closed out and will no longer be available on the website once they are sold out, so this is your last chance to get a handmade kit with quality, earth-friendly, locally sourced, and non-toxic art supplies!

New website feature: When ordering a custom canvas print (available in the Blue Marble Stew and Collections galleries), you now have the option to view a mockup of print size on a variety of wall spaces, as well as the option to custom crop an image for your print.

Currently booking private Earth Art classes: I'm currently booking private art classes, available in a variety of locations for February through May. No classes will be held in the month of June. Book a workshop or series of classes for one, or for a small group. A variety of topics for all ages are available to choose from. More details can be found here

Framing mock-ups: I've absolutely loved seeing all the photos sent in from everyone this past year who shared how they framed their BlondeShot Creative prints- Thank you for sharing! Framing can completely change the way an image looks, and can be such a difficult decision, especially if you're stepping out of the box of a traditional white mat and black frame. To get those wheels turning (and to go along with that new print you'll be ordering this month), I wanted to share some mat and frame mock-ups.
