Blue Durham (Family Session)

This family is not only adorable, but they are troopers. We had less than ideal weather conditions for their family session, but they didn't seem to be phased by it and continued to have smiles on their faces. I love their color-coordinated outfits in blue, which we paired with some blue lights once we found a special little spot indoors on the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, NC.

International Babywearing Week + New Article Out!

It's currently International Babywearing Week 2015, and if you've been following along here for very long, you might already know what an important role babywearing has played in my life since becoming a mother. Last year I wrote a personal post on my Adventures in Babywearing, shot a series of babywearing portraits, and I also run a local parents and kids group that includes a lot of babywearing related events and offers a free carrier lending library to members. This year, BlondeShot Creative is doing the portrait sessions again (you'll be seeing the finished photos here in November!), and I've also written another article on the topic for Smyrna Parent. I often get asked about what the best carriers are, and this post breaks down the different things to think about and ways to determine which carrier might be a good fit for you based off of the options or elements that are important to you when wearing.
