A few months ago I was asked to be part of a self portrait art show that will be taking place in January in Atlanta. Of course I said yes, but this meant I had to suck it up and take some new self portrait photos, which is really not my favorite thing to do. I put it off for awhile and finally took two different sets a few weeks ago. I had a lot of stuff going on at the time and these are directly related to a major fall-through of plans. Here are a few from my first set.
(I know, total opposites)

I've been crafting away recently, in part because it's holiday season and that's the best time to cozy up and be crafty, and partly because it really helps to take the mind off of stressful things. So, I decided on the image below to put in the show, and got super crafty and turned my framed image into a crocheted framed, snow globe like image- hanging snowflakes, loose shakable snow.

I then totally scrapped that idea and decided to put in my initial favorite, from set 2, which is traditionally matted & framed. I will not be showing that image on the blog until after the show, but I will be posting show information, and a few outtakes from set 2 soon.
(Since I'm not putting the above image in the show, I've put it in the
Etsy shop!)
